The counter balanced handle control has thumb operated switches positioned in a universally ergonomic accessible configuration. Safety interlock circuits prevent accidental release of the product until it is set down . Dials and indicator lights give visual cues to the operator as to when attachment by the manipulator has been made to the box. The hand rail ring allows 355 degree rotation of the box about its axis when pelletizing . This lightweight unit receives high user marks in ease of operation and acceptance.

Box lifting and manipulation with vacuum cups provides unparalleled ease and flexibility of operation. The unique design of the articulated arm with rigid cantilever allows Hermco's vacuum box gripper great flexibility. Products that vary in size and configuration can be handled with a single unit. Operator docking is easier and faster because less accuracy in alignment of the manipulator is required than with mechanical grippers.

An extra degree of rigidity available only in Hermco units allows off center weight loads to be easily handled. Quick change vacuum heads allows rapid reconfiguration of the unit to handle varied products. Several sizes of boxes can be handled with the same head. A single operator can handle 250# loads as fast in the morning as at the end of the shift. Safety interlock systems prevent accidental dropage of the product and even power failure will not allow a valuable unit to be dropped. This saves the company waste and improves safety for the operators.
